Independent restaurant and bar in Spring Lake, NJ with Marilyn Schlossbach, awarded through a Borough RFP and built in a 125-year-old former bank building. Led development, financing, technology and business operations.

Founder & CEO

Farmers and makers markets since 2012, from four tents in a park to roughly 200 events a year with 10,000+ local artists, makers, farmers and food purveyors. Plus Convene, the software platform for other market organizers that grew out of running them.

Co-Founder

Coworking spaces in Asbury Park and Red Bank, NJ. Grew from 700 to 5,000 square feet, hosted hundreds of meetups and hackathons, and seeded the local tech community. We still own the buildings; day-to-day involvement is limited today.

Custom merchandise and tour merch for bands, built on software I wrote and a network from the music industry. Worked with tens of thousands of bands nationally and internationally, and managed tour merchandising for artists including The Front Bottoms and River City Extension. Sold in 2020.

Partner

Full-service design and software agency, formed by merging a design studio with DBL Systems. Naming and branding through backend, mobile and big data applications, with eleven full-time designers and developers at its height.

250-capacity all-ages DIY punk venue in Montclair, NJ. My first business. Booking, operations and staffing for a room built around the local New Jersey scene, with national touring acts passing through on the way up.
