Two Types Of Morning Routines

How we start our days can set the entire temperament and pace for the remainder of it.

How we start our days can set the entire temperament and pace for the remainder of it.

Below are two morning routines that often I find myself participating in.

Morning Routine #1

  • Wake Up 1 hour before I need to be somewhere.

  • Pick up my phone, check Instagram, Reddit & scan my emails.

  • Wake the kids, shower, eat some breakfast, and get my 6 year old ready and out the door for school.

Morning Routine #2

  • Wake up 2-3 hours before I need to be somewhere.

  • Sit and meditate for 15 minutes.

  • Hop on the bike, get on a yoga mat, or do something else to get the heart moving.

  • Time permitting, enjoy a cup of coffee on the back patio and write a bit.

  • Wake the kids, shower, eat some breakfast, and get my 6 year old ready and out the door for school.

My goal is, more often than not, to make mornings look like the latter.
